Effects of Cognitive Stimulation on Cognitive Function in Mild Cognitive Impaired Patients

Abstract
Objective : The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of cognitive stimulation on cognitive function in mild cognitive impaired patients.

Methods : Twenty mild cognitive impaired patients were administered cognitive stimulation. The intervention were applied for 1 hours in a day and 2 times in a week for 8 weeks. The measurement was Allen Cognitive Level Scale(ACLS) and Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA-K).

Results : The intervention was effective in cognitive function. The MoCA-K and ACLS scores significantly increased.

Conclusion : Cognitive stimulation is an effective intervention for improving cognitive function in mild cognitive impaired patients.
